Idea about an English Party

Hey, what's up
Has anybody thought about an English party? I think that will be very interesting, a party for everyone who good at english to meet each others and share experiences.

Maybe we're gonna have like :
- Games

& then we give KL a call & persuade KL that the idea rings a bell.

why can't u do it in Vietnamese way

Bear in mind that u are Vietnamese, it sounds like you are American Vietnamese :-s even if you r, then don't try to show it off

is it too cool to be said out loud

think it the way everyone does, and stop that showing-off thing that you have been doing...

Same question, wat the hell is " American style"? Y cant it be some other E speaking country style? Is American that cool? (My sorry to any1 who favours America). And y it has to be break dance and hip hop? Is that "American style", once again? Btw, who's ur sponsor for all those stuffs?
End up with VNese version, VNese speaking anyway [I think]. Dont u feel it's odd when u _ r VNese_ try to show off ur E in public? Doesnt matter how good u r. I bet if u see any1 doing that, u'll make some noise, at least. So watch urself.

That sounded very American actually hahaha!!! Well at least it's everything I hear every day around here so just thought it was kinda American.

Honestly I wouldn't mind partying, I don't get to do it a lot while I'm here (yeah yeah I'm such a dork, a nerd, whatever you prefer). But a party where Vietnamese people speak English? That's gonna be a problem for me myself. Because I just have trouble talking in English to Vietnamese people - I lose my accent and my pronounciation becomes crap. Just an on going problem I've had for years! I speak English better around native speakers.

I've seen Vietnamese students practising English in front of the school gate (not sure if they were doing it for real practice or just for the hell of it). Certainly most people looked at those students in a different way. We can't help it that people give themselves the right to judge others. So yeah, I'm sure it's gonna be awkward to try talking in English in front of other people. Of course you can always get a room in a karaoke place or something. Be prepared financially (which I never am haha)!!

noooo, we cant go to a karaoke room, i will never go there, again after the last time i went there( a terrible experience)
like i ve suggested, we can go to some light and brilliant places such as sega . and we dont need to speak in E , i mean not always. we can speak in vietnamese, 2.
well, when can we speak in E?. let me see

maybe we will speak , but just a little.
yeah, app, we should meet in june. but i think it's better in may, right after the final exam. it will be more time.

But..hey u guys..r u sure u'll get sumwhere ( like Sega or...) and start speakin English infront of lots of Vietnamese.
I think if u all want 2 practise ur English. Then just have a small get-together at schul. It sounds better.
If not, then forget it because u'll not feel comfortable speakin English in public of Vietnamese. Is that too weird?

By the way, 4 me, there's only one way 2 improve my E speakin is to communicate w native speakers. Wat do u think?
So , 2 conclude:
If u wanna hold a party 4 fun, then speakin English is not a gud idea. Am I wrong?

no, i wont go to the school in summer.>< I dont love the school so much that come back in the summer to get a party there.
I also want to vincom, I havent gone there yet. and I dont think that we can speak E in front of many people, at least for a long time.So, just come to meet and chat, not to improve your E skill, because it's 2 difficult to hope that.

The reasons 4 this problem :

1.Our parents are very , very strict
2.We don't have so much money

parents are strict, fair enough, but mind you there are parents who do give their children "freedom" (well not all the time but most of the time)...

the cost shouldn't be a big prob coz' if a lot of people put money in, i think we can manage to have a great party...if we have this English party,i'd love to go...if it's in December...lolz
